Neck & Shoulder Pain
Frozen Shoulder
Patients easily mistook any type of shoulder pain as frozen shoulder. Simple shoulder stiffness follows pain in the middle area between the neck and shoulder joint. Such shoulder stiffness can be caused by a variety of reasons like muscle tightness, structural problems in cervical spine, thoracic spine, or ribs and treatment approach also varies depending on the cause.
In contrast, frozen shoulder is characterized with many of the following symptoms: excruciating pain even in bed at night, difficulty in lifting of the arm, and difficulty in performing daily activities such as dressing oneself. It is absolutely necessary to diagnose shoulder pain symptoms that range from muscle problems, frozen shoulder, impingement syndrome, or tear of biceps or supraspinatus tendon.
VST acupuncture uses assessment techniques that help identify the cause of each shoulder disease by examining the position of the head and shoulder blades, the curvature of the spine, balance in terms of muscle correlation and treats accordingly.
