Facial Pain
Headache & Migraine
Studies show that more than 90% of the world’s population have experienced headache at least once in their lifetime and more than 70% have taken a drug for the headaches. In particular, two-thirds of these people suffering from headaches are women whose symptoms have complicated by development of depression or anxiety. Headaches can be categorized as tension headaches, migraines, and stroke-related (meningitis, cerebral infarction, brain tumors). Often, the occipitocervical junction is askew and abnormal pressure on nerves and blood vessels traveling to the head may cause headache. In cases like these, VST treatments can be administered after proper examination to relieve the headache symptoms and their cause. Tension headaches are the most common types and originate from stiffened muscles and fasciae in the neck and shoulder. Muscle tightness in the area eventually cause stiffness and tightness in muscles of the scalp which cause the headaches. With VST treatment, release of muscle tension will allow proper blood flow and relieve the headache.
